this is 1980 honda XL500s MILEAGE UNKNOWN- removed engine,removed  valve cover,super clean inside,no cam wear in head or valve cover !! removed right case,super clean inside,oil filter screen was very clean.clutch looks great.resealed valve cover right case,changed oil (20/50 castrol)adjusted cam chain-very quiet.rebuilt carb.
removed all rear suspension,all electrical,painted frame swing arm rustoleum red primer,then painted rustoleum black,removed forks,seals are good,painted silver,added fork gators.replaced fork oil (atf). painted engine high heat silver.built custom exhaust with custom muffler-sounds killer painted exhaust 2,000 degree high heat paint (all high heat paint is epoxy paint).
engine is very quiet-packed front rear wheel bearings,cleaned lubed chain.cleaned greased steering head bearings.front rear brake shoes look new .NO ENGINE NOISE recent rear tire (NOS,no cracks,lots of tread) new battery.retains 6v system.brake light works.replaced turn signals,headlight works ,does not have speedometer, installed odometer,turn signal/high/low beam switch replaced. wiring is good. have rear foot pegs,spare headlight bracket,old kill switch (removed). bike starts,runs extremely good.very clean 39 year old honda.working headlight working turn signals.new headlight/turn signal switch.
valve cover right side case show how clean motor is.look at the oil screen-I pulled it like this.fork lock still works,helmet lock still works !! keys.built custom utility rack-very nice.
