1987 Suzuki Walter Wolf RG250 GammaFrame Number: GJ21B-105174
In the 1980’s, with the two-stroke motorcycle craze in full swing, Suzuki turned out some of the most iconic road bikes of all time based on their championship race bikes. Gammas are rare, with the Walter Wolf livery one of the more sought after models, and they don't come up for sale very often. Even so, the maintenance is very easy on them, and restoration straightforward.
The overall condition of this machine is good, with the condition of the paint and the plastic being the only thing really needing to be done at some point. The paint on the tank is in good condition, but as you can see in the photos, is going to need to have the dents removed and be painted again. paintless dent removal company can probably accomplish this for you. The seat is original, and has not been recovered.
Overall, the rest of the bodywork is in good condition, but it does have scrapes and scratches, and could use complete paint and graphics set if you want the bike perfect. As far as the motor, frame, etc., everything is nice but not perfect, but it is original and has not been restored. Everything from the frame to the motor to the bodywork is correct and original, just the way it left the Suzuki factory.
I believe am the fourth or fifth owner from new, but can't be sure because of the time before it arrived in the US. The previous owner purchased the bike ad brought it into the US few years ago when they were old enough to come into US legally. This machine has been part of my collection and is actually ridden once in a while, and is LOT of fun. It's also stored in a temperature controlled warehouse throughout the year.
When purchased this motorcycle, it was in the cosmetic condition you see in the photos, but had not been running correctly, so went through the entire machine, got everything working and started riding it occasionally. All of the major engine, transmission, and braking components are operational.
The tires are in good condition but not new. If you’re planning on riding this bike any distance, would replace them. ride it around town and haven’t had any issues, but if you buy the bike and would like me to install new tires, let me know and can get that done for you. Whatever my cost on the purchase and installation of the tires is, that's what you pay. The brakes have also been completely rebuilt, front and rear.
The engine and transmission are original to each other and are in perfect running condition.  The bike kicks over and starts very easily.  brand new battery was also just installed.     The RG250 on the road is very easy to handle, and rides down the road tight, with no shakes, shimmies, or rattles.  It shifts and accelerates smoothly and holds the road as it should. It’s great machine to ride and enjoy as well as something you can take to show if you take the time to do the bodywork. Again, there is absolutely nothing that needs to be done to this machine to ride and enjoy it.
I have a clear title for the motorcycle. However, it states the year as 1985 instead of 1987, which I'm almost sure is the correct model year for the bike. The VIN on the title matches the number on the frame. I’m sure it was titled as an 1985 model in order to import it into the country little sooner. Either way, all of the ownership paperwork is in order for buyer anywhere worldwide.  I have motorcycle collection made up primarily of American, Italian, and Japanese motorcycles. If you have specific questions, just want to learn more, or are looking for something in particular, please let me know. I’m also always looking for other vintage motorcycles to add to my collection, so if you have something interesting to share, please contact me at 630-430-3855.  TERMS:  $500 DEPOSIT DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE.  BALANCE OF AUCTION AMOUNT MUST BE PAID BY CASH IN PERSON, BANK TO BANK TRANSFER, OR CERTIFIED FUNDS (WITH VERIFICATION) ONLY WITHIN DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE.  SORRY, NO C.O.D. AND NO PAYPAL FOR FINAL PAYMENT.
The description of this motorcycle is written to the best of my knowledge. However, am by no means an expert on vintage Suzuki two-stroke motorcycles. Please don’t hesitate to ask for more photos and, if possible, come and look in person before the auction ends.  ALL SALES ARE FINAL! If you have any questions, please contact me before the auction ends.
