Super fun bike!  Previously owned and "hopped up" by master bike builder Lossa Engineering in SoCal, this machine looks, runs and sounds like howling black Panther.  It is the second of two GB's I've had and this one is noticeably quicker than stocker.  Although it isn't exactly pristine "collector example", with some work and original parts, it could be one.
Stock parts needed for restoration (that I'm aware of):MirrorsTurn signalsStock Keihin CarbAirbox FilterSeat cowlEngine returned to stock silver color
But as-is, this is tasteful mild custom, and in my opinion, better looking than stock.
NOS fuel tank (will not be sold separately) is nearly flawless showing only few light superficial scratches and bit of oxidation inside.  Stock tank has small dings (barely visible in photo, left front corner and right side near filler cap), and paint aging as shown.
Engine compression is crisp like new.  What actually was done internally to increase engine hp is not known.  A hotter cam is likely component.  Modern freeway speeds are effortless for this bike.
The custom exhaust is high quality unit built by Jack Batson and is nearly new.  I added some packing but it's still quite loud.
Brakes grab tight, battery is nearly new, all electrics work perfectly, tires have good life left in them.
Now the bad news:  Carburetion is brand-new single flat-slide Mikuni TM40/HS40 racing unit pre-jetted for the GB500 with K&N pod filter.  On the open road the motor runs flawlessly once the throttle is opened past the idle circuit but when you slow 'er down and come off the throttle it'll cough and try to stall on you.  This problem lessens when the engine is fully warmed up and I've managed the issue by pulling the choke lever (at the left handgrip) whenever slowing or stopping, but this is not how the bike should operate.  I am not master mechanic so, despite doing everything know how to do the idle circuit issue has persisted.
I have quite few other vintage bikes that am able to keep up and running on my own so whenever bike stretches the limits of my mechanical skills, regardless of how much love it, will have to let 'er go.
Okay, that's it.  What you see is what you get--  extra parts shown are:
Clutch plates springs (clutch on the bike is nearly new, just had these parts lying around)Seat cowl mounting screwsTank and side cover decalsSpare 18mm spark plugFront and Rear wheel bearings (no issues with the bearings on the bike)Stock exhaust
Local SoCal pick-up or buyer arranges long distance shipping. (Yes, am first time seller on eBay--  apparently this fact alone constitutes an eBay scammer "red flag" so am prepared to do all can to address any and all buyer concerns regarding the integrity of this sale)
