have owned this beauty since 2001. bought it bone stock with the intention of making super sick custom Harley Softail without deviating from Harley's original vibe of the bike. Softails are sexy bikes but there are parts of them that need refined or down right changed. First, the speedometer, ignition switch, dash catastrophe that they plop on the tank. had the ignition relocated out of sight and installed more pleasing looking digital speedometer up on the trees. The new speedo has the indicators for the signals, high beams, and oil pressure built right in. It also has tach. The fuel tank was smoothed out and now is beautiful piece. It still retains the factory fuel gauge because like to know how much have. Second, the front ends from stock are not pretty. This bike now sports super smooth inverted fork set up to show off the massive 26" wheel up front. Third, never cared for the stock swingarms with the ugly axle and nut sticking out. It was ditched in favor of wider custom swingarm that has flush hidden axle. This swingarm holds beefy 250mm wide tire. Fourth, the ride height on stock softails kill the look. This bike is equipped with an adjustable rear air ride suspension. Fifth, those turn signals that they come with. The bike now has less evasive but super bright LED tail lights with integrated signals. The front signals are LEDs and are integrated in the headlight. Fifth, are those bulky rear fender struts. Those were eliminated. The fender is built as strut less design with the support of the fender moved to the inside and out of plain view. Speaking of rear fenders, this bike comes with two different styles depending on your mood or how many riders are on board. The first option is throw back to the old hard tails. It features short minimalist fender. It has hand tooled leather seat with springs to give it that look. It is not the most comfortable seat but it makes the bike look so old school. When ride by myself, ride it in this configuration. If you are riding with your honey or like the pro street look instead, switch over to the widened bobbed fender. have two seats that go with that fender. It takes no more that ten minutes to switch from one fender to another. Five bolts and one electrical connector. That is all. It is like having two bikes for the price of one. That's what tell my wife. As custom as the chassis and body is on this bike, the engine is completely stock. am the type of person that does not like to break down in the middle of black hills in Sturgis. The engine has always ran so great that did not want to jeopardize reliability by throwing some big cams and crap in it. The actual mileage of the bike is unknown because it does not have the original speedometer on it. believe it had 12000 miles on it before replacing speedometer. am guessing it has about 15000 miles on the bike now. The tires on the bike have hardly any miles on them and look almost new. The bike just got all of it's fluids changed this spring with full synthetic Mobil1. The bike requires no immediate repairs or maintenance. It is ready to ride. SIDE NOTES: Even though this bike has been pampered it's entire life, like any used bike, expect signs of wear and minor imperfections. All in all it shows really good and draws crowd wherever it is parked at. Don't like the 74 on the gas tank? It is decal and can be removed. took some videos of the bike and posted them on YouTube.
