Some very minor cosmetic things (see pix): small paint crack on front fender, black tape decal cracking a bit on the hard bags. Nothing 16 years old with any miles on it is going to be perfect, but this is a very nice, clean bike. I know I have the small key for the radio box somewhere...but if I can't find it by auction's end, you'll need to get a locksmith to cut a new key for it.”

Up for auction is beautiful 2004 Harley-Davidson Road King Police Special FLHPi, in rare "Peace Officer" blue. This model has 1450cc Twin-Cam EFI motor and six speed transmission. These Police model bikes were only available to law enforcement departments or officers. This one was an officer's private purchase (no police duty, no shadowing in the paint or on the screen from department decals, no idling for days) and was clearly babied. Police models have bunch of details that set them apart: factory tach, certified speedo, extra aux switches, adjustable air suspension seat (awesome), hockey puck openers for the hard bags so you can access them while seated, flag/club holder, and quick-detach screen. I've owned this bike about five years and just don't use it enough to justify the garage space it consumes. When bought this bike, the original police air seat, pillion seat, and radio box and rack had been replaced with H-D one-piece two-up seat (included, see last photo). bought all the factory pieces and reinstalled the correct police air-ride suspension seat (seat, air shock, air tank and lines), frame rail cover, pillion seat, Motorola radio box and rack. These parts cost me about $2k, but really set the bike off, imo. If you don't like them, re-install the one-piece seat. There's also some subtle blue neons on the bike which are easily switched on or off, and some tasteful silver pin striping. installed new Yuasa battery within the last year or so. The bike has less than 16k miles on it, and remains very clean and runs great. It needs nothing to be enjoyed now. There's small crack in the paint on the edge of the front fender (see photo), and the bike is 16 years old, so don't expect perfection, necessarily, but she's still very nice. I'll be happy to keep this beauty if it does't sell.
