2006 BMW R1200RT Police Series Low Miles 49k Loaded 1200 RT!Description:
This is newly decommissioned 2006 BMW R1200RT police edition. The Police stickers were just taken off and still show an outline. Very low mileage (49,000) well maintained by the Los Angeles Police department. Oil just changed starts and runs great. This model has the front and rear crash bars, side and rear storage bin, prewired heated seat, heated handle bars, adjustable windshield and lot of other extras.  I am requiring immediate payment if purchased to avoid relisting the bike due to non paying bidders. If you would like to make alternate payment arrangements please contact me and will remove the pay immediately requirement. Thank you for understanding.Mechanical condition and tests performed:Oil and filter changed (old oil was not very dark so am assuming it was serviced recently)Visual inspection: no leaks, containers close and lock as intended, minor scuffs and scratches, doesn't look like the bike was ever down (no scrapes on crash bars, foot pegs, or handle bar ends.)Road test: Rode about 200 miles no problems with shifting or riding. Lights work, brakes work, heated grips work, adjustable windshield works, turn signals work, emergency light works, dash computer shows no codes or check engine lights.
I have the license plates and registration is paid for until may of 2018. This is rare piece of history and this bike has commemoration sticker to fallen officer in one of the saddle bags.
The motorcycle is located in Los Angeles. Sold as-is, if you would like to inspect it before purchasing would be happy to meet you somewhere around Los Angeles. will ship the motorcycle domestically and internationally only if buyer makes the arrangements. can ride it to any local port or shipping company for drop off after payment is received if that helps.
