500cc Triumph Cafe Racer. Frame is almost identical to the lightweight BSA motocross frame but is built by Triumph so the 1969 engine needed no modifications to fit. The engine was rebuilt several years ago but only has few hundred miles on it since then.The frame was sourced from 1973 Trophy Trail. This frame along with many other weight reducing steps has made this very light motorcycle so it handles extremely well and is easy to move around in the garage. The tank has been custom cut to fit the frame and was professionally painted about years ago. The seat is custom made for the bike and contains the coils and ballistic battery. Electronic ignition and single Mikuni carb make it easy to start and run well. The bike was run on the road in 2017 but was not used last year. The front end is Norton with racing disk. The rear wheel is Triumph conical with cut outs. Alloy wheels were built several years ago with stainless spokes by Buchanan. The shocks are custom from NJB. Exhaust consists of racing swept backs and cone mufflers. The speedometer is bicycle speedo but this is marginal so have been using small GPS unit instead. On negative side, the bike has slight weeping from the head gasket and small leak in one of the fork tubes.
