The car passed its MOT 12th June with no advisories, the car is quite clean underneath for 23 year old BMW- all the jacking points look OK, there are some scratches on the frame rails due to low ride height, this is only cosmetic and not an issue whatsoever. have always owned lowered cars and am always very careful when driving. I purchased the car last September and replaced the track rods, track rod ends, drop links and wishbones including lollipop bushings and lower ball joints on both sides on the front of the car. Therefore the car drives almost as new with no knocks with improved handling with the coil-overs. I did an oil change before took the car off the road less than 100 miles ago. Engine wise, it is pretty much standard, besides the cone filter. This was on the car when purchased and saw no reason to change it, so its still there. The original air box is included. The engine is sweet and runs as it should, but when the car is warm and at idle, the rpm raises and lowers sometimes. don't know what this is and it has done it since got it, but it doesn't really affect the car in any way so haven't looked into it. Drive-train- clutch, diff etc. all feels good. I have replaced all the bushings in the shifter linkage with mixture of genuine BMW bushings and upgraded solid shifter bushings. In my ownership, have put about 7000-8000 miles on the car, and it hasn't missed beat the entire time. would be confident driving this car anywhere in the country knowing that it would get me there and back. Brakes are good, believe the ABS has been disabled as it has locked up before. believe it is speed sensor as had it checked when got the car. There is an immense amount of history with the car, have folder full of receipts dating back to about 1997! there is paperwork suggesting the car has had high quality respray within the last years, and the paintwork is very very good. It polishes up really well. There are only few light scratches on the car,(see photos.) However there is some rust bubbles starting to appear on the rear arches (Common E36 area) Obviously please do not expect perfect car there are scratches and light rust. there is also small hole in the lower side skirt area on the passenger side rear, just in front of the rear wheel arch. this has been rust treated and under sealed inside and out temporarily, however has not got any worse. Its an easy patch, would take maybe 20 minutes to weld patch into it if needed. The car has done about 175000 miles however does not drive like it at all! Looking through the history, the car seems to have been extremely well looked after and had whatever its needed. since late 2015 there are receipts totaling around £4000!The car is surprisingly cheap to tax and insure, cost me the same as VW Polo to insure! And with regular services and maintenance there is no reason this car won't go on for another 100000 miles. I have short shifter that can come with the car if wanted as well. These cars are becoming quire rare now, and with being relatively standard 318i manual and being in the classic Hellrot Red is surely future classic...The car is listed for £1500 ONO. Others similar to this car are selling for far more than am asking however need the space back. The car is to be sold as seen, with no returns accepted...Time wasters will be reported to eBay.
