Description:I bought the car in 2015 from work colleague after returned from 18 months working in Spain. He'd stopped using it and it was taking up space, needed something quickly to get me mobile after coming back to commute weekly from Wiltshire to Surrey. have used it most weeks for over months now and it keeps on going as was still using it till today. I've maintained it during my ownership as seen above. One thing to point out is that the speedo stopped working few weeks after bought it so the odometer stopped counting miles at this point. researched the issue and bought new speedo sensor however the broken one was such pain to remove left it until eventually found couple of weekends to tackle it in June (and bought some new tools for the job). Anyway, hours of swearing later and finally fixed it with the new sensor installed so the speedo now works again and the odo is counting up miles. accurately estimate that have done an additional 4800 miles during the time the speedo wasn't working.
Doesn't burn oil or coolant or any other fluids for that matter. Regularly checked and haven't needed to top up.
Let's not beat around the bush, the bodywork is in poor condition, the previous owners must have had their eyes closed while parking it! Lots of dents and scratches hopefully captured in the pictures. Every panel has an amount of scratches and dents or cracked plastics or flaking paint.
Pulling away in 1st gear there is slight clutch judder but the clutch doesn't slip in any gear while driving normally and the gears shift ok. It's been like this for the months I've had it and has kept on going.
Radio works, it has tape deck but don't know if that works. Electric front windows work. Heater works.
I have plastic wheels trims (not fitted). The fourth fell off just after had the new tyres put on.
Air con doesn't work, there is service invoice from 2005 that states it wasn't working then due to recharge required so presume it was never recharged.
I only have one key. The central locking works all the time from the passenger door and sometimes from the drivers door but the doors can all be locked.
I get over 400 miles out of the 50 litre fuel tank which equates to over 36mpg. It even has quarter tank of fuel left that will go with the car (£15 worth)!
Anyway, if you want no frills cheap as chips car to get you about and not have to worry about parking dents then let me know. I've got another car now so won't be using the Focus as much and would like to have the space back. As final note the money I've spent on tyres and service parts since buying it is worth more than want for the whole car now.
