Hi, I've owned this car for nearly and half years and drove it for and half, loving every minute! It has been parked up (SORN) for the last year, ready for restoration, but unfortunately now need to sell it before moving house. Apparently, can't take cars with me according to the Mrs... and the Karmann Ghia trumps the Z4.
Before being parked up, the oil indicator unfortunately failed causing damage to the engine, but this only came to light after an expensive replacement of the oil sender! The error code that was coming up was the flywheel. Now that it's been parked up for while, it won't start, but believe that to be weak battery. On the positive side, this vehicle is great drive with the torque and power that the litre provides, complimenting the chassis beautifully! Personally, wouldn't bother with the lesser powered models. Not months before the oil sender issue, I'd replaced the headlamps units with after market items. Generally, the exterior is in reasonable condition considering the mileage and age. But won't lie to you, it's got the odd scratch or scrape and lots of stone chips on the front bumper. The wheels are in reasonable condition with the odd scrape, because had them restored after purchasing it. removed the run flat tyres, with the front having plenty of wear, but the rear is limited. Unfortunately, the roof motor has failed, but the fabric is in good condition. The seats are in condition, but the floor mats have been removed.
Essentially, this car is to be sold as none runner to someone who has similar love for Z4's, who has got the time and inclination to repair it or use the vehicle as spares donor to another vehicle.
I do have tow bar on my other vehicle and so could deliver for trailer hire and diesel fee... Obviously, it would be better if you could collect.
