It's not the prettiest vehicle in the world and could best be described as little shabby cosmetically but it's been bulletproof mechanically as it's been serviced regularly and any issues dealt with quickly. It has number of light scuffs, dings and scrapes but no major ones and no rust. The interior is clean, all in working condition and, you've guessed it, little scruffy. The seats are good with no rips or tears.
So here are the good bits:
MOT until Dec 2017, two advisories on the last one, one of which was for front tyre low on tread. Both front tyres were then replaced and are still as good as new. The other advisory was for tatty but functional dust cover on one of the ball joints.110,000 miles nothing for Golf of this age plenty of life left.Good fuel economy managed 47mpg over the last 7000 miles on mixture of city motorway miles.Serviced with cam belt and water pump replaced in September.You're not going to worry about it getting dinged in the supermarket car park.It's got really cool geeky decal in the window (but I'll remove it if it's not your thing).Personalised plate (as long as your name has in it).Aux cable fitted.Free peanuts under the back seat knowing my kids.It's got wheels alloy ones.And the not so good bits:Fan belt is little squeaky just needs tightening.Scrape on the front passenger door, minor dings on both rear arches. Some other scrapes and such around the car.Rear bumper is bit flaky (literally not figuratively).Basically this is really solid, honest car which would suit anyone who wants reliable runaround able to do the motorway miles as well. I'd be keeping it if hadn't just had baby who demands bigger car.
