For sale my BMW series 530d which have owned for the last years. Overall this has been fantastic car that still looks and drives much younger than it's years!
There are many years left in this car however it now requires little attention to give it the new lease of life it deserves.
1 EGR valve, have been told by my local garage that the EGR valve requires replacing as it is very stiff opening and closing, this causes the power from the turbo to come in, in bursts until the valve is fully opened, once the valve has been opened after or bursts the car accelerates normally, as it should. (The turbo was replaced in June, the old turbo is available as proof, in case of any concerns.) This fault is only really noticeable if you try and pull off quickly,
2 Boot remote locking mechanism Currently the boot is only opening by the key, rather than the remote boot release, this is because the wiring to the boot latch is currently disconnected as when connected it is preventing the boot from locking. Reading online this appears to be common problem with E60s as breaks in the wiring cause the boot to remain locked or unlocked depending. As consequence of the wiring being disconnected every so often the boot open message appears on the dash, usually when pulling off.
The car has just passed MOT having new front shock absorber and rear brake pipe fitted so it is now good until the end of Feb 2018,
The car has sets of keys, all manuals and lots of history, it was last serviced in mid 2015 and had an oil change in June (when turbo was replaced.)
Externally this car has few scuffs and scratches, the worst of which is on the front bumper under the right headlight. On the whole though the car has very good bodywork lot better than you would expect from 2004 car and better than many newer E60s.
This car always starts 1st time every time and covers 100 miles daily on my journey to work.
Happy bidding.
