RENAULT MEGANE 1.5DCI ESTATE 2006. MOT AND READY TO USE.
Re-advertised due to time waster please only buy if you are serious.
This has been my main car for the last years and it has been very reliable throughout.
It's the 1.5dci engine which is powerful enough, but good on fuel. Most of my driving is commuting to work along the M6, and it usually returns around 51mpg. It will give slightly better mpg without the roof bars. (I know have the key to the roof bars somewhere, but can't find it. Hopefully it will turn up)
During the last few years have had quite lot of service items done, including:-
Oil changesFront road springsFront bottom ball jointsFront disks and padsTrack rodsBrake servo and master cylinder
Mileage is around 123,000 and most of that is motorway mileage.
All tyres are ok.
No so good bits :-
Air conditioning needs re-gassingCrack in rear light clusterSmall scuff on rear bumper drivers side (see picture)Scuff to interior door covering rear driver side (see picture)Paint chips to bonnetThe odd scuff/mark here and there on the body work (nothing serious, just age related marks)Interior needs further cleaning had the car fully valeted few weeks ago, but it has been stood on my drive since and the interior wasn't quite dry after it had been valeted so it has left marks on the seat covers mainly the rear looking forward to sunny day to help! Rear wiper arm needs changingThe service light is on. This is just the reminder light to have the car serviced. As have done the oil changes myself, the service light hasn't been re-set.
The car does have car-phone cradle and aerial fitted but have never used it so can't say what it is or if it works.
The cam belt was changed just before bought the car, so it will probably be due soon. Oil and filter change is also due.
The car drives well, and is very practical. The ride is smooth and the engine very responsive. It's good sized car but not huge so the engine is powerful enough, but still very economical.
