Plan was to gradually fix the hood and the MoT advisories the lower suspension ball joints both have bit of play and the drivers side suspension arm needs bush. (There's also bit of play in the inner steering rack joints mentioned in previous MoTs). Oil temperature gauge also faulty.
The soft top hood needs released manually before it will open electrically suspect wiring problem. It raises fine, the ECU seems OK and there are no leaks, but the fabric is bit worn beneath the windscreen glass. There's also poor roof seal at the driver's window needs sorted.
Paintwork is good for age, although photos show lacquer peel on bonnet and passenger sill needs touching up.
Unfortunately, now showing an engine management light. It will need new timing chains and although could do this myself, 'er indoors would rather don't occupy my weekends, so back up for sale. Parts are £420 £600 depending upon source, plus fluids and gaskets. Getting garage to do the work well set you back 2-3 days labour it's time consuming getting access, but not complicated.
Viewing welcome and car is still completely driveable the timing goes out as the chains wear, so it lacks power.
To save questions about the price, if don't get the asking price I'll keep the car and sort it myself!
