Picked this up from mate at work who had left it parked for around months due to buying tdi after finding the e46 too heavy on fuel for him.He picked the car up last year needing clutch, sent it to garage and ended up having lot more done it to with bill total of £1416! this was all done before he used the car himself and he barely covered 1000 miles or so before parking it up..
Work carried out was -
Clutch kitRecon speed gearboxSkimmed flywheelPropshaft centre bearingRear wheel crack repair2x 255/35/18 tyresAircon system check and refillNearside front window switch(receipt is present to show this)
As result the car is mechanically sound and drives as such with no issues, ive only driven it the 20 odd miles home from work myself but it drove perfectly, everything felt tight as it should and the engine pulls strong in every gear.
Unfortunately the mot ran out while its been sat hence advertising the car as potential drift or track project especially being sought after manual with the best cylinder engine outside of an m3 but to be honest would be sound road car aswell if thats what you wanted.
As said, mechanicly the car is sound but there are some cosmetic issues have noticed.. the bodywork is straight with no big dents or damage but there is rust on of the wheel arches, common on e46's but ive included pics to show this. paintwork could really do with solid clean and polish. wheels look bit tatty to be honest aswell.Interior is pretty clean, has the full leather interior with no rips or tears.The central locking doesnt seem to be working either, it used to but remember it did for some reason roll all four windows down when it was unlocked so there was/is clearly some sort of gremlin with that.There may be some other minor things that havent noticed but with it never being my own car or having driven it much can only mention what ive noticed. In my eyes see it being perfect track or drift project as the engine and box and clutch are fresh and strong and the cosmetic issues become less of if even problem at all.
