                                         FORD EXPLORER 4X4 Eddie Bauer 4.0
Here is my 2004 Ford Explorer which personally imported last year. Being big fan of American vehicles having owned numerous F150's, F350's and the odd stray into jeep territory over the years, know the difference between good vehicle and lemon. had also owned couple of UK model Explorers but apart from being bit long in the tooth now, they don't compare to this US model which followed it. As was looking for one of these or an Expedition at the time and couldn't find good one over here, decided to ship one across. Spec wise, the Eddie Bauer was top of the line back then and this comes with the seater option with tone leather seats. Heated front seats, electric windows and moonroof and door mirrors, rear privacy glass, central locking with keycode entry, electric adjustable pedals, cruise, A/C, auto lamps, tow package, split tailgate, the list goes on. it has been fitted with nice Sony head unit which has CD, Bluetooth connectivity, back-up camera, etc and works very well. As with many cars of this age, especially American, service history is lacking. But this car has clearly been maintained and since I've had it here have serviced it with genuine parts, including oil and air filters, serpentine belt and tensioner, front drop links and stainless steel exhaust, (which sounds sweet). All Matching tyres in very good shape. The bad points are small patch of rust on the left rear arch, (which wouldn't show at all in picture), the drivers seat adjusts but wont raise, probably the module but never bothered with it as the height is ok for me), also very small split in the passenger seat pad, and the rear parking sensors are not working. think someone has disabled them). Oh, and although it has the Tow Package with removable tow bar, I've not had the UK electrics fitted. Other than those minor items, this good solid, very clean car. have noticed similar models listed recently and knowing what this cost me to import can see where their prices are coming from but I'm starting this one at just ??4k with no reserve.The other thing worth mention is the MOT. It has couple of months left on it now but will put full 12 months on before sell it. And the mileage, it is at 143k now, which is propbably average for the year. know there are many American vehicles in the UK not showing the real mileage. know this because got caught once years ago with an F150 showing half the miles it had when it left the states), this one is genuine with paperwork to back up.  deposit of ??200 via paypal will hold the vehicle with balance payable on collection. Please call for any more details or to arrange to view the car on 07976 208610 Paul.  Thanks for looking.
