Item is my father's Ford Fiesta the MOT expired in June and the car needs some work to get another one. We've been quoted £327.34 for the work required to get through an MOT.
The car failed the MOT on the following points:Suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint (OSF)Suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement (NSF and OSF)Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded (NSF)
The bodywork is bit tatty (see pictures) but everything works, the car is comfortable and drives and runs very well. We were originally going to get the work done to repair this car, but newer one came available so my dad decided to go for that (I think he fancied change) The car for sale has been sat on my driveway since then (about weeks).
Dad has owned this car since June 1998. It's never let him down and believe it's definitely worth fixing up for few more years of solid reliable motoring.
Alternatively, the engine is superb, and would be an ideal replacement for similar Fiesta with serious engine problem.
Although the car drives very well, it obviously isn't legal to drive without an MOT. Any other test welcome.
