Up for sale is my stunning Jaguar XJ.

Its 2005 (X350) 2.7 TDVI (Twin-turbo Diesel) with the sporty ALUMINIUM DASHBOARD rather than the gaudy wooden one.
It has 19" XJR starburst wheels which were fitted as an extra at birth.

Black paint, black wheels, black rear windows, black chrome, black leather interior, de-badged... you would think its beefed up XJR if you saw it zip past you, or parked up on the side of the road. have even had the tailpipes painted black.
And the thing has been seriously tuned up. It will put smile on your face :)

This car has had no-expenses-spared last 50,000 miles (last 1/3rd of its life) and, although not problem free, is an excellent example of this aluminium bodied masterpiece.

HISTORY
- bought the car almost years ago with 105,000 miles on it. It had just had the gearbox replaced with used one by the garage that sold it to me.
- The gearbox failed after about 3,000 miles. had it replaced under warranty.
- The gearbox failed again after another 3,000 miles. had it replaced for third time. This time had the problem investigated by another garage. Turns out there is gearbox oil to engine coolant 'cooler' in the NS wheel-arch. had new one fitted and the gearbox oil flushed and replaced. Also had the gearbox sump replaced with genuine ZF one with new oil filter. This seemed to fix it, apart from slight vibration.
- 10,000 miles later had the gearbox oil flushed and replaced again... to be sure. Vibration went away completely.
- 10,000 miles later had the gearbox oil flushed and replaced yet again... as the slight vibration had returned.
- It is my belief that the torque converter friction plates may have been affected by the water (anti-freeze) ingress and it is this causing the slight vibration as you accelerate. The garage thinks not, as the diagnostic computer says that the gearbox is working fine. It shifts as it should and has no other problems beside the slight vibration on acceleration. All the sensors and computer diagnostic jiggery-pokery (of which this car is full) reports no issues.
- serviced the car at 105,000 115,000 125,000 135,000 and 145,000 at the local garage "Bodyshop Garage Redditch"
- It had new MTEC Drilled and Vented Discs and MINTEX pads all round last year. Due to cock-up at the garage (who fitted the front discs the wrong way around) it has just had brand new pair and pads on the FRONT 'on the house'. The brakes are awesome. This thing can stop!
- The car has history of "Restricted Performance". Google it, all Jaguar XJs seem to have this issue! have had this in and out of the garage for while. It has had MASSIVE repair months ago (to your benefit) and has had:
- BRAND NEW Turbos
- NEW MAF Sensors
- NEW MAP Sensor
- Good Used N/S Air Intake Rocker Cover as crack found in old one
- Vacuum pump gasket replaced
- Rocker Cover gaskets replaced
- Everything from the Turbos to the intake valves has been removed, cleaned and put back (De-coked). It was lined with sticky-gooey-treacle, now it is clean as whistle.
- The fuel injectors have been removed, sent to specialist in Stirchley (Birmingham), tested, cleaned and put back in with new seals.
- Also the DPF and EGRs have been 'Terra-cleaned' by different garage.
- New Battery has been fitted.
- Propshaft has been removed, sent away for reconditioning (new center bearing and full balance) £££s spent
- Front windows have been tinted 25%
- Door handles and Chrome bumper 'over-riders' have been painted black
- Side repeated and bumper indicators have been tinted
- All badges have been removed (including the one on top of the radiator grille!), holes filled and painted.
- Alloy wheels have been removed, restored and powder-coated gloss black. (There has since been crack repaired in one, and there are some minor kerb marks... see if you can find them on the photos though, its nothing major)
- The ECU Map has been downloaded to laptop, sent to VIEZU for analysis, found to have been tweaked in an amateurish way, re-mapped PROPERLY and loaded back in to the ECU. specified MAX POWER and they gave it to me. The guy who loaded the program said the car is now +40% !!! That would make it circa 290 BHP.
This thing is FAST.
It is real SLEEPER, pretty, beautiful, understated and very powerful.

MINUS POINTS
- Rear parking sensors do not work, they just beep once when you engage reverse
- Since the car knew that it was for sale it has started saying "Cannot apply parking brake" although not all the time.
- Slight vibration on acceleration (as mentioned above) usually around 50mph but can occur at other speeds
- "Restricted Performance" seems to be FIXED now but offer no guarantee. At least the major culprits have been replaced.
- Miss Orange the Dobermann and her dirty paws have been on the back seat, so the leather is worn bit more than you would expect. Its noticable in the centre section but otherwise its in good nick. She will also have left you hairs to find. If this bothers you am sure valet would be on your shopping list. Just don't do "Jurassic Park" and clone her from the DNA, Miss Orange is one of kind!

NOTES
- The car will not be used now, as have new one. It has 3/4 tank of fuel in it. The fuel is not included in the auction price, and you will need to pay me £75 cash for this separately. By bidding, you agree to this term,
- The car is described honestly and have not hidden anything. It is sold as seen. You are bidding to buy, not to view. The sale price is the sale price and cannot be negotiated. If you would like to view the car before bidding, please ask
- deposit of £250 must be paid by paypal immediately after winning the auction, balance in cash on collection or bank transfer (cleared funds in my account) before collection.
- Car is in Redditch Worcestershire.

So, there you are. This is your chance to buy one of the finest X350 Jags on the road. Sure, you could buy an XJR but they have drink problem and you would forever be filling it up with petrol, This is very fast, good looking, alternative and does twice the mpg. am only selling it because have crossed over to the dark(er) side and bought Maserati :) :) :)

Happy to answer any questions.
