I have for sale my late Mk2 Golf GTI 1.8L 16v. These are becoming very rare to find, especially as this is late plate and comes with digit registration plate (J65 KEM). These Mk2 16v's are ever increasing in value, so good solid investment, plus there is huge following.
Mine is Royal Blue Metallic which is lovely colour. have owed many mk2 GTI's in my time, so fully know that these are fantastic to own and drive.

The car is not used as have other vehicles, so this one is regularly started and cleaned (weekly). The MOT has run out and the vehicle has been declared SORN. have had pre MOT check following lots of work recently been undertaken.

The vehicle runs well, new battery was fitted.  The car drives really well as all 16 valves should and pulls through the gears.

The vehicle is fitted with electric windows, power steering and sunroof. G60 arches were fitted all round replacing the original 90 spec side arches. The interior is in good overall condition and order, however there is some slight wear on the drivers side right bolster. 
The head lining is in great order and not sagging where are most Mk2's have sagged by now.The rear parcel shelf has no cut outs and still in original condition.
The vehicle comes with single de-badged grille and cross hair headlights and smoked rear and side lights. However have also the original headlamp GTI grille. Also installed internally are the later mk3 golf control stalks. The vehicle comes with the original BBS RA 15 inch wheels which are in good condition. The rear tailgate in its past was de-wiper and smoothed and colour coded.
Below is what has been done to it recently in the last 6 months or so.

Replaced all disks and pads all round (30 miles ago) (Pagid)
Replaced all engine mounts
Rocker cover gasket replaced
Full service including oil, oil filter, fuel filter, coolant and plugs
Oil light switch replaced
New battery installed
Fuel pump (in tank) replaced
New gas bonnet lifters installed
New wipers (front)

Bad bits

Front tyres are worn (Toyo's) and will require replacing for the MOT

Passenger window is not working from the switch, this may require new switch or at worst new regulator.

The oil light on dash sometimes buzzes, but not due to low oil so not sure what this is. Drives perfectly fine and oil level is not changed. The oil switch was also replaced as precaution. This am told perhaps is something with the clocks itself?

The Bonnet is badly scratched and will require re-spray, however it has the original sound deadening underneath which is not usual to still have on these cars.

Crack on front bumper valance on drivers side which is cheap and easy fix. purchased the part but have misplaced it, if find it, this will go with the vehicle.

Rear exhaust rubber required as on idle you hear little exhaust knock, but the system is newish and has been replaced in its time, so looks to be in good condition.

These cars rare to find for sale and increasing in value every day. Especially in late door plater that is true original last of the line 16v.

This vehicle is no means perfect but will require little work to complete but good vehicle considering its age.

I have been as honest as can, have owned many of these mk2s over the years an would be genuinely sad to see this one go but due to change in circumstances am having to sell. This one was intended to be keeper and have had lots of interest to date.
