Living With It :-
I have owned this car for nearly years and it has spent most of its time in storage. I purchased the vehicle from the man who lovingly converted it and have maintained it to the same level ever since.This car is not for the faint hearted, It is violent. The combination of 260bhp and Quaife Diff transferring all the power through just the front wheels is not clever ..........but it is fun.It torque steers like monster in the dry and If it's wet you can spin the wheels in 5th gear, which is always entertaining during overtaking, However it will return 40mpg if driven carefully. The exhaust is loud but no offensive. The ride is firm but it handles well.
Although this car is in extremely good condition, it is not show car. There is the typical small tear in the drivers seat lower bolster and the door seals are starting to perish, do keep in mind its 25yrs old.

There is minor damage to the front wheel arches, offside is internal and cannot be seen and the nearside can be seen in the pictures (front lower edge).
The perishing on the door seals is actually part of the gutter mouldings where the top corner of the door touches you can expected to see this on all golfs of this age apparently. The main door seals are fine.On 05-May-16 at 07:32:26 BST, seller added the following information:I don't know the history of the paintworkbut someone has written the paint code LB7V on the sticker on the boot floor£? The underneath is solid, there may be somesurface corrosion in areas but nothing that would even be considered an motadvisory.No damage to my knowledge or any evidence of repairs. No welding orrot only surface corrosion on the usual bits, it's solid shell. Nothingwrong with it mechanically, it used to be my daily driver.???
