MK2 1.4 Renault Clio Azure.
THIS CAR IS NON RUNNER. DOES NOT START.
After having different mechanics come out to look at it we believe that the issue is the cambelt has slipped and knocked the timings out. Also have been told that there may be an underlying issue with the engine (I don't know what that means as they couldn't pinpoint it and am by no means mechanic).
Other minor faults are:The central locking does not work on the key but it does work with the interior lock/unlock button.The passenger side rear door lock has failed. Apparently quite common and was looking at fix before the engine failed. priced lock up at approx ??25 from new.The sunroof (like many clio's of its generation) developed leak at some point. The previous owners decided that mastic would solve it. However had to run sealant around the edge of the sunroof as it is the interior seal (between roof and sunroof) that failed. The leak is plugged is plugged now however the sunroof doesn't look the best.
The car hasn't had clean since it broke down. It isn't filthy but it is quite dusty outside and if needed will try to get it cleaned up.
Once again this car DOES NOT START DOES NOT RUN. So please no time wasting as the sale of this car is needed.
