I was given it by my mother, who had driven it for only short time. It is is excellent condition, inside and out. There are few marks to the bodywork, as to be expected with car of this age.
It is sporty looking but very safe, with all the safety equipment you would expect from VW.
It is great town car, nippy and responsive and easy to park in tight spaces but also comfortable on long journeys. The automatic gear box is very easy to use and very smooth to drive. It does allow you to take control in mode, so you control the gear changes, but takes control again if it thinks you have forgotten!
This would be brilliant first car or second small family car. It has easily carried our family of four (my husband is 6'2" and is comfortable in it on long journeys) and our luggage for weekends/weeks away.
Economy is good as the car "knows" when best to change gear so keeps the driving smooth and effortless.
The boot is surprisingly spacious for small car. It has all standard accessories, most of which are in "like new" condition.
It has CD changer system and the sound quality is great.
We will be sad to see it go as we have so many family memories attached but my husband now has new company car, and am working locally, so we no longer need two cars.
