For sale is my VW Golf 2003 registered 128773 miles and previous keepers. purchased it Dec 2012..Unfortunately after only 428 miles after having the car mot'd had major issue with what believe to be the gearbox. There was lot of noise, the clutch dropped to the floor and ground to halt. There was lot of gearbox oil leaking from under the car and had to have the car recovered. It's been sat outside my workshop ever since. was going to have it fixed but have decided to get new car. Her are the good and bad points
Good:Good condition and cleans up beautiful.Mot till June 2018Full service History with 11 stamps but is overdue for one nowFull leather interiorLovely allows in ex condition No rustLoads of paperwork from previous owners and old motsThe car was running lovely before the issueNo dents( might be pimple in drivers door)Clutch and dual mass fly wheel 90411Brakes and discs March 2014 but were all replaced again 11 months later under warranty due to warped discs. Water pump replaced months agoI've had lot of other work done on the car since I've owned it including coil packs, petrol pump,suspension arms etc. know these are just general wear and tear repairs but it's good to know that they've been done on an older car.
Bad pointsDoesn't drive due to the above possible gearbox issueHad the heating matrix discounted due to water leaking in the passenger footwell so the car doesn't have interior heating. Small leak in the power steering oil pipe or housing. This happened since had the water pump replaced and was due to be fixed. Jolts little when the steering is on full lock. Been like this over year but has never caused any issues. understand that the heating matrix replacement and gearbox are labour intensive hence the spares or repair. Key needs batteryThis car was lovely drive and reliable until the issue. Can be viewed in White Waltham near Maidenhead which highly recommend.I do not see this car as scrapper at all and if somebody was willing to put the work in themselves they would be getting lovely car. have been 100% honest about the issues and would be happy to supply any other photos you may want to see.
