Hi Bidder This my amazing trusty Golf GT TDI 150 BHP which am selling as spares or repairs. I'm auctioning it in this category because the turbo impellor is going (noise and white smoke has just appeared). But am really hoping some enthusiast will pick my car up and replace the turbo and just keep driving it even at 270k (mostly motorway miles) I have all of the history and receipts so you can see exactly what has been done. And best of all it still pulls and drives brilliantly. My driving style is gentle which is why it's still on the same clutch, with the occasional sensible foot down to clear it out. Types: Michelin tyres the fronts are good and backs will need replacing at some point soon Clutch Yes the originalCambelt and water pump replaced again at 221kInterior Good with some usual signs of wear and tear Body The body is in good condition apart from few scratches and scruff here and there. There is one scratch on the rear upper panel which would need bit more work, but nothing for someone who is used to working on cars. The body work is all original so there have been no resprays etc Other history ... There is single clunk (noise) that comes from the front drivers side when pulling away in the morning the garaged has looked replaced as much as possible they can't find what it is, and the car drives fine and passes its MOT. When the weather is very cold the dash reports an issue but this clears once the car warms up. have seen things on google about how to resolve it, but never got around to it.The right hand wing mirror - the mirror was replaced but motor doesn't work I adjust by hand and could do with bit of attention can't remember what needs doing now. It's had new dash with the exact mileage set into the new dash.At 127k mileage it was misfiring so the garage replaced 8 tappets and the camshaft. Ownership am the second keeper so I've driven this car from 95k through to 270k. It was serviced by VW up to 90k and then have had worked done by three independent garages (who know their cars). No expense has been spared mechanically to keep it on the road, as it's been bit of an obsession, so I'm genuinely sad to see it go.If you would like anymore history then just drop me line.
