Hi, this auction is for my sons 2001 VW Lupo 1.0.
The car has been off the road for months due to him buying new car and the fact the VW had started to run bit rough.

It did have fair bit of MOT left but now it has just under months remaining. It passed last year with only couple of advisories.

Basicly the car always started and drove absolutely fine until one day it started spluttering at which time my son called out his recovery people who diagnosed dodgy EGR valve so it was taken to his local garage who stripped and cleaned the valve and the car was fine again.

Around months ago the same thing happened so he took it to another garage who said the EGR valve was totally shot now and needed replacing along with the spark plugs.
As my son had already got another car by now anyway he decided to just take the Lupo off the road until he could pay to get it sorted.(Lost interest as had new car!)

That brings us up to now where its been sat as said for few months. It still drove when it was parked up but was spluttery and down on power, very similar to when the EGR problem first happened.

EGR valves are around £50 on here and set of plugs are around £40 but again he has no interest in spending any money on it as all his money goes into his new car.

He had recently had set of new tyres fitted on the big alloys fitted and car was serviced at around 57k. Its now on 62K.

Think cars been lowered slightly also.

Its also got rear seats rather than the usual believe these normally have.

Car is also fitted with cherry bomb exhaust which did sound nice but now has slight blow where it joins the main pipe. Easy fix.

Other points to mention are this is more of rat Lupo than sparkly one with most panels having dinks or dents or scratches or dull paint but no big major dents but that's how he liked it.It also has cracked mirror lens and bit of damage to the front grill where an animal of some sort decided to jump in front of him.

The battery is now flat and the brakes may need cleaning up bit and it would probably be better option to tow/trailer it away as although it was still driving have no clue what it would drive like now. The engine was very quiet with no rattles or anything before it went off road.

The car has had an ins claim against it at some point either cat or D, this was due to the previous owner letting the door blow open and the stay snapped and the door got nice big crease/dent in it. We just put another door on in the same colour.

This could be an easy repair for someone with bit more interest or very good source of parts.

Obviously its sold as spares or repairs project so don't expect perfect car you can just jump into and drive off. It needs some work.
