Hi all and welcome to my auction for well loved VW polo 1.4 Automatic pet named Vera. recently acquired the car from an elderly family member who cannot drive anymore and hence no longer needs it. The car has had an easy life and is in great shape for its age, the paint is suffering the usual lacquer peel from this generation in places but think you will agree the valet just carried out has brought it back up to good condition. For the detail I’ll keep this simple.
Good bits;- Only 66,500 miles- All tyres near new condition- Brand new front brakes and CV gaitor- Full years MOT- Exceptionally clean inside for 16 year old car- Heated electric mirrors- Automatic- Small frugal petrol returning respectable 40 miles to the gallon.- Recently purchased battery- New mats- Professionally valeted- Full tank of petrol- Pre tax banding so £230/year- stack of receipts from the last years services including last sale receipt of car, tyres, battery, brakes etc.- Full sized and space saver spare wheeels
Not so good bits;- Lacquer peeling on bonnet and roof and faded in places making it appear slightly different shade compared to plastic body work- few cosmetic belishes around the place but not that noticeable- partial service history with main dealer stamps to 30,000, last years servicing done by local garage- key- not central locking model- manual window winders
So there you have it, good honest simple car and would be ideal for first time driver or anyone just looking for small car to dash about town in. I’m starting the auction at £400 but these are fetching way in excess of this is this condition. Buy it now is £800 to reflect this, try finding another German, small Automatic, petrol car in this condition and credential for less!
