1928 Triumph Model de luxe, 500cc
Here is superb opportunity to  own relatively practical Vintage class (pre1931) motorcycle. Up and running and ready to go.This bike has completed the Banbury run several times and remains in fine fettle ready for the next time!It starts easily and sound great both mechanically and on the deep mellow exhaust note. The automatic drip-feed oil pump is clearly working well (there??™s an inspection glass). It is still total loss system. The gearbox and clutch are A1 and brakes are very good, especially the 7??? rear.Wheel rims are for wired on tyres as opposed to beaded edge which is good for confidence!the bike is registered with V5C document. Period registration number (WW 1677)  cannot be transferred to another vehicle. The frame number is 1002739, engine number 254672OMTdate of registration is given as 3rd July 1937 which is most probably transposition error in the old log book. There is an old buff log book dating from 1947 and 1963 letter from Triumph Engineering. The bike is registered for free historic vehicle  road tax and is of course pre-60 MOT exempt.Cosmetically the bike is in fine condition with some ageing and patina here and there. The paint on the frame looks very sound but some light crinkling here and there. Wheel rims spokes are all very good stoved black. Tyres are both excellent Dunlop Universals.Nickel plate on handle bars etc is all good.Black enamel on tinware inc tank is all very good. The blue panels on the  tank have some lovely light crackled patina. The rear stand is in good order. This is very practical vintage machine and easy to handle model with good brakes and wired edge tyres.Don??™t miss this lovely vintage machine!
