This very much sought after tax exempt 1971 Suzuki T500R has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is not complete missing the r/h mirror, chain guard, l/h side panel rear indicators. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres seat cover are perished carburetors are stuck. Sadly some of the bright chrome is pitted.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with good hubs brake plates. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight hangers. Instruments switches look great. Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is usably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are original solid. Seat base is in good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression – We have had the bike firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system carbs will need attention......don't fret we didn't run it long.
