44 years, still going strong and all original, this is onefor the serious collector who knows her classic Cubs. This is the 1973 C50 smaller than the C70 and C90 but just as robust. In Japan it’s referred to as the Down Choke (the choke lever is located under the legcover on the left hand side) in army green. Another nickname is the Andon Cub.Andon is the Japanese word for paper lantern and it refers to the light inthe centre below the handlebars. The paint on our andon cub has beautifulpatina and there is some light rust as you would expect but overall conditionis good. She has her original two tone seat and the old fashioned style rear light.Even in Japan, most of the bikes of this era have graduallydied and it is getting harder to find ones with solid bodywork like this one.You could use this as custom base, of course, but we think the value andcharm of this particular bike lies in how she appears right now – lived alittle but still looking good and running well. The tachometer reads 6,794km (4,221) but since it onlygoes up to 9,999km we cannot be sure this is correct.
