This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1973 Yamaha RD350 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 12204 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just themirros, airbox lid filter battery. The key isn't the rite one but with jiggle turns the ignition. It has obviously stood while so the paintwork is faded, tyres dust seals are perished master cylinder isn't working. Sadly rear rim has dent in it r/h ind lense is broken.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 43 years ago it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!. The wheels have clean chrome rims. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight hangers. Instruments switches look great. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is usably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are original solid. Seat base is in good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression but isn't sparking so we haven't had it running.
