This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1975 Honda CB550K1 Four has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 17865 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the r/h side panel badge. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres are perished. Sadly the headlight hangers are bent indicators are odd.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs brake plate, disc, caliper working master cylinder. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as is the headlight. Instruments switches look great. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is faded but solid, fuel tank is usably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are original solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy as is the grab rail. The engine is cosmetically very clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression – When we hooked it up to good battery fed it few squirts of ether it fires tries to start run but it,s obvious the carbs need attention.
