This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1977 Suzuki GT550M has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 18696 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is complete. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat clocks are slightly opaque.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 41 years ago it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs brake plate, disc, caliper working master cylinder. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight hangers. Instruments switches look great. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is usably clean inside. Exhausts are original solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout. Indicators are tidy. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression – When we hooked it up to good battery fed it fresh fuel/oil it starts runs.
