This very much sought after tax exempt 1975 Yamaha DT400B Enduro has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 4717 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the mirrors, indicators, tail light, glass out of the tachometer, ignition switch key. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat, tyres seat cover are perished carburetor is stuck.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with chrome rims, good hubs brake plates. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid are tidy. Speedo switches look ok. Fuel tank is usably clean inside. Exhaust is original solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout. Shock absorbers are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression – We have had the bike firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system carbs will need attention......don't fret we didn't run it long.

You can insure it onthe chassis number.4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who willcharge you £55 for the 1st registration the currentamount for the road tax.5.
