Very nice GL1000, US import so very little rust if any. It has the original exhaust system and is complete. I've had it for years now and only managed 4k miles, so think it needs to go to new home. used it mainly for the land's end to John groats trip, which it handled effortlessly, not really much trouble for bike like this. It comes with chrome rack, the original owners handbook, Haynes manual and few spares. It was registered in 1977 according to the log book, but the frame number shows it to be 1978 model, either way have had no problem getting any parts as there didn't seem to be any difference as model between those years. It had new tyres last year, new battery, new plugs and new front brake pads. The chap who got it from imported it and then spent small fortune having it stripped down and any seals, gaskets etc replaced. have thick wad of bills for the work done. It also comes with the original American number plate. The bike is in excellent original condition, you can ride it as is, the MOT is brand new, or if you want to restore it to showroom then it is all there, though personally prefer to actually ride the bike!.The bike has been garaged since had it and last year had the cam covers and timing belt covers vapour blasted, they came up like new but seem to have faded bit now. I'm sure they will restore with polish. The pictures posted are from before had that done so they look much better now even with the fading!I'm looking to sell but am interested in road legal trail bike if you fancy px deal. am based in Kent, junction off the M25, near Bromley. bought the bike from chap in Devon and just got the train down and rode back, the bike was perfectly safe and is so now if you want to do that. If not, bring big van as it is bit big!!.
