This much sought after 1978 Yamaha XS650E has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 20710 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the battery, fork dust seals, front indicators chain guard.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy rims, good hubs brake plate, disc, caliper working master cylinder. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as is the headlight but hangers are bent. Instruments switches look ok. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhausts are original solid. The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression – When we hooked it up to good battery fed it fresh fuel it starts runs.
