Hi to you all and thanks for watching my auction.#Here you are looking at an original 1983 Honda GL700 Silverwing Interstate Limited addition. (I'm not sure why it is limited edition, but it's got the plate on with the following serial number: ME2-449)(See photo) was also told that there were only 3000 limited editions made.Have look at the following website to see the history behind the GL700 Silverwing - http://ericpetersautos.com/2011/03/24/the-one-year-wonder-and-why/ 
The bike has current MOT till September 2016 
I've had this bike since 2012 after buying it from my brother who emigrated.  Since then the bike's had heaps of work done to it, - new tyres, - rebuilt front brakes and rear brakes drum, - new pads, - replaced exhaust cans with new ones from CX500, - cleaned carburetors, - new battery, - new fuel hoses from tank to carburetors.- new cam chain tensioner (as this involved taking out the engine it also meant new oil and filter, new coolant, new seals/gaskets and balancing the carbs)
The following things still need doing: - The rev counter cable need replacing have new one that will come with the bike. - The temperature sensor unit needs replacing again, have new one that will come with the bike
I only have two MOT certificates for the bike as didn't get any of its paper history when got the bike, however one of the certificates states the following odometer reading and history of previous MOT's 05/07/2007 25839km 03/07/2008 33402km 29/06/2009 43637km 20/08/2014 43637km (Certificate included). 26/09/2015 47467km (Certificate included). can't see any problems with the bike passing another MOT. The bike has currently got  48039 kilometers on the clock and that converted is 29850 miles which is not lot for bike of this age. 
You are more than welcome to come and look at the bike if you want. currently don't have insurance on it as am running my other bike. It is however still taxed, so it wont be SORN as it still got long MOT. only have one key for the bike that fits the ignition, panniers, fuel cap and the right hand side compartment in the front fairing. also have the V5.  Just for interest sake, this bike qualify for classic insurance and my last fully comp policy only set me back around ??83 for the year not bad at all.  Please remember that this bike is 33 years old and has got few marks on it. 
I'm not able to deliver the bike, so if you are the lucky winner, you will have to either collect with van/trailer or make sure you take out insurance for the bike before it goes on the road. If you have less than 10 bidding history on eBay, contact me first before bidding please. Payment from the lucky winner will be cash on collection please. This bike is also advertised elsewhere, so reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. Also have look at what other things am selling on eBay as there will be loads of extras on auction for the Silverwing.  am going to be very sad to see this bike go as love it loads, but need the space in my garage (and the darling wife only allows me to have one bike)
