This now very rare and sought after 1983 Yamaha XJ900RK Seca has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 5872 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.

PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the ballend off the clutch lever. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat rear brake master cylinder isn't working. Sadly the the front mudguard l/h indicator are broken and fuel tank is starting to go in the corners.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 33 years ago it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!.
We have got with the bike box of spares inc owners manual, new replacement clutch lever, front indicator Etc. The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy rims, good front discs, calipers working master cylinder. Forks yokes look straight with good chrome clean alloy. Tail light assy is good is the headlight. Instruments switches look great. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhausts are original solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Shock absorbers are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically clean – When we hooked it up to good battery fed it few squirts of ether it fires tries to start run but it,s obvious the carbs need attention.
