This well respected and much sought after 1986 Yamaha RD350F2 YPVS power valve has recently been imported from Europe where it was part of big collection we were lucky enough to buy. It is only showing 12552 km (7900 miles) and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike looks to be pretty much complete missing just few graphics off the fairing panels. It has stood while so the battery is flat. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 33 years ago it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!. The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy, good discs, calipers working master cylinders. Forks yokes look straight with good chrome. Tail light assy is good is the headlight. Instruments switches look great. Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. Fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Exhausts are solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. Shock absorber is damping fine. The engine turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great has compression BUT BEST OF ALL when we gave it few prods it fires, starts runs. We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT Duty is paid on the NOVA system.(This can take upto weeks)Registration.You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles over 40 years old are MOT exempt)You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. Phone Yamaha UK customer services on 01932 358000 with the Model, frame engine Numbers for small fee they will send you letter confirming the age.You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax.The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
