Famed for robustness and reliability, the 105cc single cylinder, aircooled engine also delivers respectable top speed of about 50mph. Apart fromthe over muffler, probably the most striking thing about this bike is somethingyou might not even notice at first. It has small lever under the transmissioncase to allow you to change from high- to low-ratio gears – the better tohandle steep terrain.A relative of the legendary Cub, the CT110 has the same stepthrough frame, automatic clutch and classic good looks (albeit with slightlyrugged casting.)Ours is 1993 model and we brought it here because we justdon’t see any in this kind of condition. She has done 32,050 miles but, apartfrom slight tear on the seat – probably dog – looks like she’s hardly doneany work at all.This bike would make head turning runaround for town plusyou can take her off down the farm and she’ll happily haul you through the mud.You could even try something little more daring -Nathan Millward rode his allthe way from Sydney to London.
