Hi, For sale have my 2000 Yamaha YZ 250 Road Legal Motocross Bike,

I purchased this bike earlier in the year as small project with gearbox fault. The engine and gearbox was fully stripped, inspected and had the following parts replaced using genuine Yamaha parts -

Crankshaft, flywheel and primary drive gears upgraded to parts from 2009 model
New Koyo crankshaft mains bearings fittedAll seals and gaskets replaced

The cylinder was recoated last year (paperwork to prove) along with new top end and are still in great condition with very few hours on them.

During the rebuild applied to have the bike registered for road use and is now road legal for day time use only with 10 months MOT remaining

FMF Gnarly front pipe (has few minor dings and some minor corrosion), Carburettor has been jetted to suit with genuine keihin jets.

Black excel rims in great condition, currently fitted with Michelin Starcross tyres and heavy duty inner tubes but will also come with pair of e-marked road legal knobbly tyres

I have fitted Tomtom satnav to the bars, it is an older unit but still works perfectely fine and used mainly for the speedo, unclips from the mount in click for easy charging
9v battery powered mega horn for MOTs

I can also throw in all the orginal plastics which are still very useable.


Overall very clean bike in great condition (see photos) and is ready to ride!
Starts easily, very quick and now changes and holds all gears like it should
Brakes, suspension, chain and sprockets all in good condition
V5 present and in my name
Lots of receipts for parts and work carried out
