Hello,
For sale have my CBF 500 ABS for reasons of non use. It sits in the garage picking up dust as am not very fond of parting with it as it has been my first bike when worked in London. have other bikes as well and the CBF has picked the short straw in the cleaning process.
I have acquired it almost years ago and have used it for the first year till got my car. It has been trustworthy steed and never let me down, now as said above, sitting and collecting dust. In the first year when got it, have replaced the swingarm bearings and put on new tyres. The carbs have been cleaned and syncronized, new NGK spark plugs, Motul oil change with HiFlo filter and added KN air filter. On cold trip to work in one morning (yes it has been used for commuting in the winter time as well) lost the front and dropped the bike. The damage isn't severe but has left some battle marks on the instrument cover, fuel tank (under the Bagster) and on the exhaust. It is not pristine bike or collector item, it has been used for commuting before purchased it as well and it has decent amount of miles on the clock. The chain kit is good for another full year, have just MOT'd it so it has fresh full year now, it came with advisories for slightly worn brake discs and misting from the RHS oil fork seal. have replaced the head stock bearings just before took it for the MOT (got images of the replacement) so that is sorted for couple of years, Also painted the fork legs cause of the stone chips it had, the headlight cowling, charged battery and checked the charging, replaced the fuel with fresh Shell unleaded, gave it good clean and am looking to replace the fork seals for happy trouble free motoring.
The bike has Givi tob box, Piramid plastics undertray and some crash protectors which saved the bike when dropped it last time, and Bagster tank bag.
As said, the bike has obvious wear and tear along with the light damage on the RHS which you can see in the images.
For any other questions please feel free to ask.
Kind regards,Mike.
