Rarely seen in the UK, here is beautiful example of the CB400SS. First sold in 2001 as follow up to the beautiful CL400, it was rival of the Yamaha SR400. The air cooled 4-stroke engine is direct descendent of the ND03E used in the XR400R.The CB400SS was designed to give smooth, comfortable ride with lightweight handling and it certainly delivered. That, alongside its classic good looks, explains the huge success it enjoyed. Production stopped in 2009 due to new emission regulations in Japan.
Ours is 2005 model in aqua and white. Unlike the early CB400SS this one has an electric start as well as kickstart. It has done only 9,690 miles and is in beautiful condition. The paintwork and chrome sparkle. If you are looking for classically styled bike, easy to use and with modern engineering, this could be the bike for you.
