For sale Triumph Speed triple 1050.
Rough and ready.
14 year old bike with nearly 28k on the clock.
Ive put the last 11k on her since october 18.
Bought as commuter and saw me through the winter, im still using it now and then so the mileage may increase. She may look ratty but runs spot on, commute 90 miles day on her and it keeps plugging on!

Good bits.
Its just had some work done by Triumph in york which included new plugs and air filter, oil change, new filter, and rear hub strip and clean, ecu update, new rad cap and coolant.
The chain and sprockets are recent in march DID gold chain and slightly bigger 44tooth rear sprocket. did drop tooth in the front for the comedy but the front end just wanted to be up allll the time, so it was replaced by new standard sprocket and sprocket nut which tamed it slightly.
The rear tyre is fairly new Michelin pilot power and has loads of life left.

The not so good bits.
The is big scratch on the left hand side of the tank, from the previous owner dropping it into wall.
I unfortunately through it down the road in March "rider error" scuffing the rhs engine case, and the rhs radiator cover. There are numerous other scratches and marks all over the bike.
In the same "fall off" bent the handlebars which have replace with some braced street fighter bars had in the shed, which could do with changing ideally as they are bit too narrow, the switch gear and levers dont quite sit where they should, im used to it but new owner would probably hate it. The front master cyclinder was destroyed but was swapped for sexy brembo one from street RS. Bling.
The front discs are quite possibly warped in need of replacement likewise with the rear, they were replace in September last year but these early speed triples are renowned for warping discs... and finally for the bad bits. The positive end of the wiring harness corroded and snapped off and never got round to doing proper repair on it, so its currently ghetto bodged but does the job. Yes its not perfect but mechanically its sound, the 1050 engine is bomb proof. sadly the early speed triples did have some annoying gripes like the reg rec's failing, which this one did... soo had brand new one fitted in April along with new battery.
I have bunch on spares for it too including the standard exhaust which is in mint condition, rear pillion pegs and grabrail and seat cowl!
The MOT is due in september and would pass with new set of discs and pads!
but this bike would make an ideal cafe racer project for example or fixer upper for some one or if ya like me and just take them as they are shes essentially good to go with little bit of work.
If was keeping it would but something has taken my fancy so it need to go, if can will find some new discs.
Im an honest guy and have sold loads of bikes on ebay now and ive tried to describe it as accurately as possible any questions just ask!
