For sale, an early example of this somewhat iconic motorcycle, manufactured in 1996, sold to Japan when new, imported in 2015 by local specialist motorcycle dealer, who always has something little different. The original plan was to restore and keep, but work commitments this was put on hold. happened to see this in the workshop and decided to buy! They cleaned the fuel system and tank and got it starting on the button. They delivered it to an old friend who as motorcycle showroom and workshop, where it is at present, he is recommissioning and doing whatever necessary for the mot. It has new battery, two new front fork tubes, only due to corrosion as can be seen in photos. As said this is Japanese import, and if you have tried to register an historic or import vehicle, you will know that this is an arduous task and time consuming. Apart from the beurocratic process, you need manufacturers dating certificate, an mot, got to be taxed and insured. This have started the process and once mot is done will apply for V5 reg doc and more importantly date related UK registration number. Now for the motorcycle, definitely marmite, you either love or hate its styling, the first question is always, what the **** is that? Look up Phillipe Starck and all will be revealed. Actually it is quite capable motorcycle, 650 cc, single cylinder, depending where you get info from, 45/49 bhp, super Moto style. The mileage is supposedly genuine, no real way of establishing this, but the condition and originality support this. Not desperate to sell, can only go up in value, currently registered and 25 on sorn. Open to sensible offers, always up for part ex, providing it interests me, in my seventies now and absolutely no superbikes, exception would be Ducati 748. In yellow, thanks for looking, please phone for more details.  01823-289289 or 07784871176.Just been MOT'd. Tyres, due to age and safety, some brake issues, new fork tubes (due to pitting) again to prevent issues in the future. The only remaining work would be to clean and detail it, my preference is to leave it as it is, it will now be useable classic and shame to hide it away. take great delight in rescuing odd and historic objects, now time to let it go,
Have now got it back from the workshop, all fluids changed/checked as needed, new tyres/brake pads, fork stanchions (new) brake light switches. Fuel system stripped and cleaned, new fuel pump. Rides perfectly, all ready to enjoy.
Now have V5 with reg no. If anyone as any serious interest in this bike, please contact me, will be listed with reserve but always open to negotiation, rides as it should do, if it doesn't sell , I will strip and refurbish the paint where necessary, clocks, front wheel rim, rims are painted (original) not polished, seat has some marks which I didn't notice, seat covers are about £70. Ridden few kilometres, it as just reinforced the fact that I'm feeling my age, better working on them than riding I think! Lots of interest last time listed, all the legal bits done, time for someone to enjoy.Thank you for all the interest on the last listing, now resisted with lower reserve, definitely the last time of listing. thank you.
