Project Aprillia RS50 race replica,very rare single swing arm model,import so fully de restricted.my son bought this as project but he's lost interest.here goes,when he purchased it were non runner,I cleaned out the carb,cleaned out the fuel tap and it fired straight up,I took it for ride and for what it is very quick,I were very surprised.i made start to sort some of the issues,the indicators are non standard led ones and aren't wired up right,so took panels off to see what were going on,in doing so noticed the rear brake light switch not working,the front tyre flat and the battery loose connections,I fitted new front tube,connected battery correctly and the starter motor stopped working so took it off and it literally fell to bits,in doing so noticed the downpipe corroded so took that off too with the intentions of replacing both before tackling the other issues,and that's as far as got.It has new chain ready to fit,the panels are scraped and have been resprayed in areas,the frame could do with stripping and repaint,and then to source the bits required,so downpipe,probally would still pass MOT with it as is!,starter motor,rear brake switch,and the wiring for indicators sorting so not big project.look these bikes up and see what they fetch,silly £££.every 16yr olds dream bike!full logbook in my son's name along with ignition key.i havnt tried to bump start or run the bike since removing the parts stated since been stood so will no doubt want good clean out,it were stood for year before he purchase.collect only York!he has an nrg50 and I'm sure he would love zip 2T!!wink wink!must come to me.cash on collection.
