CB100 NA rat Café racerThis is an old cb 100 that has been on significant diet. Good points;It runs and is fun ride,It has been converted to run hydraulic front brake, master cylinder off cbr125, and caliperfrom kawazaki kz750. The conversion isnewly done, with fabricated steel caliper hanger braced in places off thefork leg, when the pads have bedded infully this will be huge improvement over the awful cable operated caliper. It is running led light bulb up front, this means that the6v system actually provides enough light for you to ride at night.It has had new condenser, points and coil, also newsealed battery.The frame has been cut down, and single seat fitted, thenumber plate has been relocated to allow shortened rear mudguard.There is spare front tyre as the current one issignificantly cracked.I shed about 12kg off the weight of the bike, including removingthe centre stand and replacing it with side stand.There is Haynes manual to go with the bike. I have the logbookonly 18941 milesBad points; It has no mot, but shouldn’t need much to get it through.The front fork seals could do with doing, and the stanchionsare little marked in the wear area, It burns little oil, think the piston rings are fairlyworn, it could really do with an enginerebuild and will come with set of gaskets, and 144cc barrel and piston thatcould possibly be fitted. This was to be my intention if was to keep it.I cut down the original exhaust and it is fairly loud, youcould fit standard cg125 one instead if you want to be quieter.The rev counter dosent work.There is fair amount of surface rust dotted over the bikeand the front mudguard has rusted through little, don’t think this matterstoo much as it all adds to the patina. It gets lot of attention, and with alittle love could be very useable learner legal bike. Can be viewed outside Mabe, nr Falmouth.
