I've decided to put two of my faithful old Cubs up for sale. I've owned them now for few years. The bike am selling in this listing is my 1968 green C50. It used to be my summer ride until became an addict and ended up with around dozen Cubs. I'm down to five now but just struggle to store them all due to lack of room, so I'm selling couple to make some space and fund another bike I've just accidentally bought !The bike is in great condition for its age. It's completely unmolested and original with lovely age related patina. It is local Cornish bike with Cornish plate. bought it from two elderly chaps in their 80's that had inherited it from their friend that had recently passed away. It wasn't running (condenser) and they were bit past fixing it, so gave it good home and got it back on the road. When first got it stripped and cleaned the carb, changed the plug and filter, fitted new battery, new tyres and tubes and regularly change the oil, to the point now where the oil is clear There is no rot at all, the rear arch joint which is usually first to go is in great condition. Everything works as it should and it would fly through an mot. Only advisory it ever has is light corrosion to spokes, which is common for an unrestored old bike of this age. The only other problem is slight oil leak from the gear change oil seal, but it's never been problem enough for me to bother to sort it. There is also small rip to the side of the seat where the stitching has come undone. I have given it quick once over, but it could really do with good clean. It only really comes out and gets ridden now for vintage rallies where it always attracts lots of attention and smiles and is the catalyst for many stories beginning "I had one of these once."Bike is tax exempt and insurance is super cheap. V5 is present and in my name. Please message me with any questions you may have, as I'm sure there's lots of info I've missed.Payment is in cash, in full on collection within seven days of auction end, unless you are using courier in which case contact me before attempting to pay. Please note, the bike is located in Goonhavern, Cornwall, which is long drive from most places. You will also see in the last picture another cub which is also for sale. This is a 1962 Honda C240 (50cc), imported from Singapore, which was registered in 67 and is the rarest cub ever made. This is the only one registered in the country and there aren't many in the world, as they were only produced for year. if you are interested message me and may list it on Ebay, as per Ebay rules.UPDATE;Two days left, I've now dropped the 'Buy It Now' price to £1250. Any offers made will now last until the end of the listing time, before it ends will sell to the person with the nearest offer to the buy it now price, that is of course unless it now sells for the buy it now price which it may well do.I have looked at the V5, which states only one previous owner, so (kind of) bought it from the original purchaser in 68 have also noticed there was another advisory on the old mot, which stated 'Roller brake test Higher brake efficiency normally obtainable', cant be anything to worry about as it passed anyway and brakes are spot on, but only right to mention it.I've had four offers so far, two at three figures, and two at four figures, all immediately declined, the latter two being close, but not close enough. This bikes great investment, better than money in the bank, as prices are still climbing steeply, as is interest in these classics, and unrestored, unmolested ones become rarer and rarer.
