am gutted to be selling my CB1300! need to fund training course and she’s spending most of the time sat in the garage with only 500 miles done since the last MOT back in January.
This is very unique example of classic muscle bike that sounds great and looks great, despite being 16 years old.
The last owner (I’ve owned it for about 1/2 years) loved putting on little extras like:
the hand sprayed art work on the tank and mud guard (apparently done by well known graffiti artists in Wales but can’t remember his name!)
the hand made seat (lowered for shorter leg but I’m 6ft and was very comfy)
‘Blade’ style brake and clutch levers
CB1300 cover on the radiator, brake and clutch fluid reservoir
Heated handle bar grips that mean you can ride in the cold with toasty hands
After market exhaust that’s sounds great without being to loud
a unique number plate ‘CB03BOO’ that had valued with an online registration auction site and was quoted £800
All in all great bike that still has loads of life left, it only just tipped over the 20,000 miles mark on my last ride. It’s been kept in nice dry garage and ridden mostly in the dry with only couple of times caught out in the rain. Even though it’s 16 years old, can’t point out any major issues cosmetically or mechanically. But it does have the odd blemish expected of bike of this age. did remember, whilst taking he photos, that have some black insulation tape on the front indicator stalk. It cracked ages ago and, although they are cheap on eBay, forgot about it and never got around to changing it. There is some tarnish on the engine covers which have meant to get around to treating but given the age, not unexpected and can be sorted if you spend little time and effort.
You can see on the .gov web site that the MOT expires in Jan 2020 but like said, it’s only done 500 miles since the last one and the only advisory is change of break pad but the garage felt it still had some life in it.The bike is in Weston-super-Mare and will need to be collected cash on collection.
