For sale is my Honda CB500t.The restoration was started in 2012, and completed 18 months ago. Due to bitter divorce, it has been sat in my old workshopuntil months ago. As you can see from the Nos speedometer, this has never been driven since the restoration was completed.I found this bike at an old ladies property was doing work for. All there was of it, was frame, wheels, engine, one exhaust, tank anda few other bits and pieces. Her husband had died and it was sat in her alley for years.Anyhoo, after trawling the internet, finally found all the parts necessary to complete the restoration. Most parts replaced are Nos, including handlebar switches, front mudguard, ignition barrel, speedometer, rear light etc etc.I sent the engine to renowned engine builder, with the instructions 'I want it looking and running like it just came out of the showroom'Unfortunately, didn't ask him for price, and got it back with bill for £3100 😁The tank and panels are finished in metallic candy apple red. Honda did candy apple for the American market, but not metallic, but think it suits it. Alas, there is small scratch, about 5mm long on the tank (see photo) which no-one is admitting to while sat in the said workshop! Grrr...All in all, pretty much pristine. After fresh fuel and new battery, the bike started without much trouble, and ticks over, albeit bit lumpy, as never got round to do the proper setting up and balancing of the carbs. I also never got round to registering the bike, as the old lady couldn't find the documents. It is, however, an English registered bike.So the new owner will have to spend few hours doing these things...Viewings are welcome, and cash on collection please. That's pretty much it...happy bidding!
