Honda CB50J Genuine UK version

An original 'W' reg, 1981 UK version of classic moped.

This is rare opportunity to obtain this rare collector's bike.
I am about to embark on garage conversion/extension so very sadly, my treasures that have been sitting around have to go. Therefore this has no reserve and will sell to the highest bidder.
I understand this is 'Learner legal' moped still.
Other bikes of similar era are going for £1000s on Ebay:Honda SS50 £4295.00
Honda TL50 £1995.00

I can't emphasis enough that this is genuine UK version. Most of the bikes of this era that I've seen on Ebay Japanese imports.
It's in excellent condition for its age and totally original. It runs and starts first kick. Some rust and needs new clutch lever, although it does still operate. Side plastic panels are cracked so need gluing but rare opportunity to win classic collector's item.
Everything on it works as you'd expect, horn, indicators, lights etc and it's all original stock Honda parts.
Although some surface rust throughout, this bike has been garaged all its life.
It is unique opportunity to win bike withreally low mileage of 3342 genuine miles. THIS IS NOT AN IMPORT, it is genuine UK registered vehicle.
I have brand new boxed battery for it, although it'll start off of the magneto. also should be able to dig out carb refurb kit and brand new set of points, although it doesn't really need these.
It runs and is fully ridable but does need carb overhaul to run smoothly. It still has the old tax discs for when last had it on the road (circa 2000) and have owned it for around the past 17 years.
This bike has all the documentation and has had owners, including myself. It was originally bought by school (Owner 1) with some 'hair brain' idea of teaching their 16 year old pre-school leavers to ride moped in safety campaign. As it never really took off so the Headmaster obtained it (Owner 2). He stored it for years and was my ex-girlfriend's Dad. As was motorcyclist, then obtained it (Owner 3) in 2000.
I have the original V5 registration document and the new version DVLA issued.
I have the old MOTs from:1989 1990 Mileage 16621990 1991 - Mileage 23381991 1992 - Mileage 27451993 1994 - Mileage 29992000 2001 - Mileage 3232
So YES only 110 miles since it's last MOT!!!
It also comes with some service history bills/receipts.
MOT, service, battery, plug and oil 1988 £42.94MOT, service 1989 £34.79New inner tube to rear tyre 1989 £9.70New clutch cable, front brake service, MOT and service 1990 £34.73Service 1991 £37.91Service and carb strip and service, oil and MOT 1993 £37.84

The front tyre has some small cracks, so assume this would need replacing. The back tyre looked good with plenty or tread left.
When got the bike, the clutch lever was broken. Although did buy new one, these are still readily available on Ebay for around £5.00. I've never had it fitted. It's in my garage somewhere but as the bike changes gear perfectly, this is just an aesthetic improvement.
There is also slight dent in the tank but very slight where knee has pushed against it during the such high attainable speeds!! :-) (Probably one of those pre-school leavers falling over standing still!!)
The side plastics are also cracked but can be glued. These were actually broken from pulling them off to replace the battery etc.
Happy to send any video via email of it running.
Obviously no MOT or Tax now but it wouldn't take much to get this back on the road.(last MOT/Tax 08/2001)
It would be Paypal or ideally cash on collection. would be prepared to send it abroad at the buyer's expense.
It is currently based in South East London. Happy for any inspection. Any further questions, please ask.
I'll be very sad to see this little bike go as I've owned it for so long but it would be great for someone to win it and make good use of it.
It would be easy to restore as I've seen lots of spares online but getting good condition complete bike seems very rare. I've also seen in the USA lovely custom chrome exhaust. Was previously very tempted but decided to stay original!
It's miles per gallon is immense!!
Please make sure you check out my other Ebay items.
